Goes really well here, his last three wins having been over C&D, including on soft ground. Back on a good mark for his return to the scene of his last success and no reason why he can't do the same again.
His last two wins have been at Thirsk on soft ground and over today's trip. Usually very competitive from this sort of mark, as his head second at Ayr two starts ago underlines and should be thereabouts.
Yet to race on ground as soft as forecast, but won on good to soft at Leicester last year. Has not been seen since adding a second success at Nottingham (1m½f, good) 14 months ago. Unexposed but has a bit to prove from 5lb higher after that absence.
Loves to get his toe in and is enjoying a cracking year, having won three times. May appreciate the slight drop in class here, but looks to be in the grip of the assessor for now, despite a 2lb drop going into this.
Has a C&D win on his CV as well plenty of form on soft and heavy ground. Now 3lb lower than his last win, which was just over a year ago and it would be no surprise to see him return to better form.
Won a fast ground Carlisle maiden on his second start and added to that on his handicap debut by scoring at Newmarket (7f, soft) last time. Clearly improving and he will need to again if he is to defy a 6lb rise back up in trip. Interesting.
Yet to race on ground this slow, though handled good to soft well enough at Haydock earlier in the season. Put in another good performance in defeat on his first run since being gelded at Chelmsford last month. Hood now applied and he can go close.
Won at Brighton (1m, good) in May on his first start after being gelded. Went well from higher marks a couple of timesm but has lost form since. Now back to 1lb below that last success and could return to form provided he handles the ground.
Sole win was at Doncaster (7f, good) last year from 1lb higher. Also beaten a head from 2lb higher at Yarmouth (1m, good to firm) in May. Has not reproduced that sort of form since and was taken out due to soft ground previously. A bit to prove.
Handles soft ground, though has not won when it has been slower than good to soft. Stays 1m1f and now looks to be back on a very handy mark. Has a C&D win to his name and a return to form is not ruled out.

Kynren (2/1), Father Bertie (9/2), Fieldsman (9/2), Omeros (5/1), Poet's Beauty (8/1), Finn Class (9/1), Silvery Moon (10/1), Fashaak (12/1), Showboating (28/1), Morning Suit (33/1), Woody Bay (40/1)
FATHER BERTIE loves this place and he can make it win number four at the track now having dropped to this mark. Finn Class would have claims if running up to his best, while Kynren is unexposed and handles conditions, so will have his hare of supporters. Omeros is another for short-lists along with Morning Suit and Woody Bay, while Poet's Beauty could be the fly in the ointment, though this won't be easy after his lengthy absence.

- Kynren
