One of the few of these to have won a handicap already, but has looked held off his higher mark since doing so. Given no help from the handicapper but his jockey's 7lb claim should be of assistance.
Has impressed since switching to handicap company and should have scope for achieving more off his current mark. Not a bad effort on heavy latest, probably better on a sounder surface.
Makes his handicap debut here having run three fair races in maiden/novice company, doesn't look obviously well handicapped on the basis of this opening mark.
Foiled in her attempt for a hat-trick at Brighton last time out but may have raced too keenly in the early stages there. Off the same mark, which shouldn't prove to be a problem for her.
Slightly variable form so far in maiden/novice company, would be interesting here on her opening mark if turning up in the best form she has shown so far, but evidently can't be trusted to do so.
Slightly disappointing at Lingfield last time following a victory at Kempton but should still prove to be better than her current mark in time and is interesting in what may be an easier race.
Not disgraced in three novice/maiden events and possibly better weighted than some other handicap debutants, but still has a fair bit to prove based on what he's shown.
Only a tame showing on handicap debut at Sandown last time out; up to this trip for the first time but needs to raise her game in a big way to have a say.
Looked outpaced over this trip on handicap/stable debut at Kempton last time out, much more needed now against some more progressive rivals in this field.
Forecasts
Diamond Dougal (5/2), W G Grace (9/2), Motown Mick (5/1), Bhindi (11/2), Princess Lyla (15/2), Brockey Rise (8/1), Comselle (16/1), Saria (20/1), Swissal (25/1)
W G GRACE was a shade disappointing at Lingfield last time but was so game on his penultimate start at Kempton that there surely must be more to come, and unless he has an aversion to turf this could be a good opportunity for him to make it two wins from his last three races over a trip we know suits him well. Princess Lyla needs to learn to settle better but would dangerous if doing so, while Diamond Dougal is also of interest on his return to a likely sounder surface.
