Made a decent fist of his last two runs winning his penultimate start on the AW at Wolverhampton and then running respectably last time out in a stronger race. Suited by the way the race developed last time out and should have a good pace to run at here.
Looked a progressive sort in maidens (won on his third start at Redcar beating a couple of decent sorts) but disappointed on handicap debut. Better after a break in first-time cheekpieces (failed to handle bend) and clearly has ability if he can put it together.
Won his maiden here over 7f last year (beat two rivals) and followed up in a nursery on the AW over a mile. Made a belated reappearance recently (again on AW) shaping well under a considerate ride (looks on a good mark) and likely to improve for that run.
Winner of a Thirsk maiden (7f) just over a year ago hasn't really progressed this year over a variety of trips (tried at up to 1m2f). Headgear now dispensed with after latest poor run while it should be noted his win came on heavy ground.
Has been in good heart this year winning three handicaps with the latest coming at Carlisle (1m1f) off a mark of 70. Has run with credit since his last win in three runs but has found the slightly higher grade a little too exacting and looks held off this mark.
Looked as though he was becoming disappointing in maidens (last two start were poor) but bounced back to his best switched to handicaps. Handled soft conditions well when winning at Carlisle and raised just 2lb from his opening mark which had looked fair.
Down in trip and grade on desperate ground she was a winner at Hamilton over 1m1f last time out (weak seller). Proved herself on the ground but has been beaten in handicaps before off similar marks and this will prove harder.
Formerly with Mick Channon he remains a maiden and has only one decent run for his current yard on his penultimate start to his name. Failed to build on that last time out (ran too free) and now steps back to a mile after running over further.
Seen to maximum effect when getting off the mark in a Ripon mile handicap (made all) in June off a mark of 69. Last two runs have shown that he's going to find life tough in handicaps off marks over 70 and the wide draw here won't help either.
Had to be dropped in grade (Leicester 1m2f seller) to get off the mark on his last start for Richard Hannon and had plenty go his way in that contest. Turned in a respectable first effort for his new yard and now dropped 2lb for that effort but drawn wide here.
Remains a maiden after nine starts but has run the odd respectable race turning in a career best effort last time at Carlisle over a mile. Did all his best work at the finish there (can get outpaced) and more needed here from out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Under Control (3/1), Everything For You (10/3), What Wonders Weave (5/1), Asaas (6/1), Born To Boom (13/2), Pantera Negra (8/1), Fayez (9/1), Akkadian Empire (14/1), Brother McGonagall (16/1), Rock N Rolla (20/1), Heatongrad (25/1), Supreme Power (25/1), Akamanto (33/1)
A competitive enough contest for the grade with several having chances and Tim Easterby will be looking to win this again after taking the race last year this time around with Brother McGonagall although he has work to do off his current mark. Pantera Negra needs paying attention to after failing in her hat-trick bid (still ran very well) although a wide draw makes life harder. Both Fayez and Everything For You look types that can win in this grade although the later might just need to handle the bend better than at Beverley on his last start. Born To Boom should be able to build on his Carlisle win but UNDER CONTROL shaped well under a considerate ride last time out and looks a likely improver and is still on a good mark.
