Placed in a Listed contest at Naas and went close in a valuable conditions event in France having won on his debut, but below that form the last twice. Draw could have been kinder as he makes a nursery debut.

Yarmouth maiden winner who was outclassed in a Group 2 next time but bounced back to win a minor event at Pontefract over 5f (good). Fairly-treated for nursery debut if handing easier ground and favoured by the draw. Player.

Hadn't shown much prior to running out a surprise winner of a York nursery (5f, good to soft) in July and wasn't disgraced in a Listed race there last time. Entitled to respect from this mark, though draw could have been kinder.

Showed plenty of zip to get off the mark at the sixth attempt at Carlisle (5f, good to soft) last month though below that form from a revised mark at Ripon latest. Much more in favour here though and worth another chance.

Glimpses of promise in maidens without looking like winning and not entirely disgraced in a valuable sales race at York over 6f. Still early days and is worth a look on his nursery debut from a good draw.

Best effort in minor events came when second on soft ground at Carlisle and made a winning nursery debut over 5f there (good to soft) last month. Should remain competitive from a 5lb higher mark and draw could have been worse.

Bits of pieces of promise in minor events over 5f and 6f, including on his first run since being gelded on the AW at Kempton last time. Big ask from stall 11 on his nursery debut.

Forecasts

Porchy Party (3/1), Viscount Loftus (3/1), Mable Lee (10/3), Simmy's Copshop (5/1), Falabelle (5/1), Harrogate (11/2), Mr Greenlight (8/1), Angel Force (10/1), Chatburn (12/1), Brandy Station (16/1), Joegogo (20/1)

Verdict

A hard race to get a handle on given the prevailing ground conditions but the progressive MABLE LEE made a winning nursery debut in the mud at Thirsk last time out and overcoming a 5lb rise may not be beyond her from stall five. Angel Force won on good to soft before running well in a Listed event so has to go on any short-list whilst Viscount Loftus and Porchy Party are also of interest.
  1. Mable Lee
  2. Angel Force
  3. Porchy Party
