Won a Wolverhampton maiden (1m½f, AW) in May of last year and was only just held in a maiden handicap here (1m. good to soft) next time. Off the track for over a year until his comeback last month, but has a bit to prove after that.
Has enjoyed a progressive season, winning four handicaps from 1m-1m2f, two of which were on soft ground. Only just held at Sandown last time and up a further 5lb for that. Not best in at these weights but no doubting he is in good form.
Both of his wins were on good to soft ground, one of them being here over 1m. Yet to record his first success of 2017, however, and although he gets this trip, he has plenty to find at these weights.
Won a couple of times in the spring, including here over 1m. Well beaten on soft ground back here next time, however, and a non-runner at Thirsk recently due to soft ground, so major concerns about his ability to get home in it now upped in trip.
After a maiden win last year he took a while to get to grips with handicapping, but progress has come since he was gelded. Scored in first-time visor at Kempton last month and claims if he can continue to progress, though concerns over soft ground.
Earned his stripes with a soft ground Yarmouth win (1m) in July and followed up when back there and 6lb higher. Didn't handle a marked rise in grade last time, but this is more realistic and he has claims.
Was 80-1 rank outsider in a field of 10 largely more experienced opponents when causing a big upset by winning on debut at Windsor (1m2f, good to soft) last month. Didn't look to be a fluke and she appeared to relish some cut. Could go close again.
Won back-to-back races at Yarmouth (1m2f, good) and Catterick (1m4f, good to firm) in July, while her best effort yet was at this level last time, when beaten just 2L at Goodwood. Has the ability to win this, though has it to prove on soft ground.

Forecasts
Pivoine (9/4), Lawless Secret (11/4), Swilly Sunset (3/1), Three Duchesses (9/1), Turning Gold (14/1), Helovaplan (16/1), Nazzaa (16/1), Zealous (20/1), Rebel Cause (20/1)
A tricky race in which to be dogmatic about the outcome, but it might be worth siding with TURNING GOLD, who has a few pounds to find with some of these, but handles soft ground and is pitched in at a more realistic level this time. Swilly Sunset is worse off here than if meeting this lot in a handicap, but he is in superb form and should still be thereabouts, while Lawless Secret could be the fly in the ointment after her 80-1 win last time. Three Duchesses won't mind if this becomes a test of stamina but she remains unproven on ground as slow as forecast.
