Has been in good form of late winning at Musselburgh and Pontefract (beat small field; travelled well) before finding a higher mark too tough here last time out. Jockey booking takes the eye but not that well drawn for a prominent runner.

Took a step back in the right direction with a C&D third last time out after struggling to find his form for most of the season. Could take a further step forward here but the draw isn't ideal and others are preferred.

Hard to know what to make of his poor outing at Laytown (has won there) last time out as he had been in fairly decent form before that (runner-up three times in a row). May well show more back on turf with a decent amateur taking the mount.

Finally won a race on turf last time out in a race that was really run to suit on his second run for this yard under today's rider. Now back to a shorter trip and up 4lb in the weight which will make life more difficult.

Well drawn here but not seen for over a year now and could well need the run although he has slipped back below his winning mark. This 7f looks sharp enough for him though with all of his winning being done over much further.

Course winner who has the worst of the draw here on the wide outside of the field and whilst she may have needed the run on her penultimate start she was poor last time out. Draw and last run mean she can only be watched here.

Getting to be a long time between drinks now but he continues to fall in the weights. He's won twice around this course but over a shorter distance than he will face here but could be of interest from a good draw.

Has been in good form on the AW recently winning twice at Wolverhampton under a good apprentice where she overcame the run of the race to win last time out. Given an 8lb rise for that win she's not well drawn here in a follow-up attempt.

Has really improved since joining this yard winning twice in lower class handicap company. She has in the past looked a little vulnerable of this sort of mark but is in better form now and may be able to get close to completing the hat-trick.

From a yard that have been going well under both codes and he showed a return to form from out of the blue last time on the AW in a lower grade than he faces here. Top rider in this sphere booked but hard to see him winning this.

Unreliable sort who was in better form at the start of the year with two AW wins over 7f. Ran her best race for some while last time out over a mile but no certainty to back that up and faces a stiff task here.

Verdict

Quite a difficult contest to work out with the in-form Bell Heather drawn wider than ideal in stall 10 and the rise in the weights might just see her give best here. Her stablemate Energia Flavio remains a maiden at least in GB and with run style he’ll need some luck to win around here. Korbous disappointed last time out but that was on a unique racing surface and faced with a more conventional one should run a more solid race while Miss Goldsmith must be respected even after her rise in the weights. Echo Of Lightning acts well around here and has the expert assistance of Simon Walker but in the end a chance is taken with B FIFTY TWO. He’s never really been tried over 7f but is well drawn with a more than capable pilot on board and he may finally be able to take advantage of a much reduced mark.
