Reverted to hurdling following two disastrous chases here and at Worcester. Beaten 49L in Stratford hurdle last time out and this looks a tall order from top weight.

Won a Taunton handicap hurlde off a 4lb lower mark in April. Disappointed last time out and others preferred returning from a break.

Now 3lb lower than last hurdle win and has rock-solid figures on good ground and in this grade. One not to be discounted.

Winner of one of his 10 hurdle starts and well beaten in his last half-dozen contests. Requires a chunk of improvement in first-time visor to take a hand in this.

Moderate maiden hurdler pulled up on handicap debut when tailed off at Worcester last month. Very little to be positive about in first-time blinkers.

C&D winner with good ground the key to his much better performances. Now back down to a mark he can be dangerous from and not one to dismiss lightly given he won this race last term.

Missed ten months before being pulled-up at Exeter in May. Tailed off when beaten 115L here in June over 2m7½f. Will need to improve significantly to take a hand in this.

Well beaten and no impression in three starts since returning from a break. Looks a tall order on form shown and others make more appeal.

Lightly raced gelding who showed significant improvement on a return to hurdling following a Flat campaign over the summer. Improvement expected with first-time cheekpieces.

Consistent, if you wish to call a string of eighth-placed efforts consistent, but sadly that only goes to highlight that his new yard haven't yet found the key to him.

Forecasts

Souriyan (5/1), Iniesta (5/1), Wolftrap (11/2), Byron Blue (13/2), Beneficial Joe (7/1), Waltz Darling (7/1), Royale Django (10/1), Our Folly (10/1), After Eight Sivola (10/1), Muthabir (14/1), Maguire's Glen (25/1), Rollo's Reflection (25/1), Yur Next (33/1), Prince Kup (50/1)

Verdict

Byron Blue will possibly make the early running here with Yur Next to help make the pace a good one. After Eight Sivola who is now 3lb lower than last hurdle win and has rock-solid figures on good ground and Our Folly another who will appreciate the good ground can battle for the places, but the selection is INIESTA who impressed last time out and can improve with the help of first-time cheekpieces.
  1. Iniesta
  2. Our Folly
  3. Byron Blue
