16,000 gns yearling. Half-brother to four winners from 1m-1m2f, included German Listed. Dam placed over 1m4½f, while grandam won over 6f at two. All sorts of possibilities from his pedigree and a market check is suggested.
Well beaten on both starts so far over 7f (good) at Ayr and then 1m½f (soft) at Hamilton. Will need much more than that to be winning this and looks one to consider more closely in nurseries when he has a handicap mark.
40-1 but outperformed those odds when ½L runner-up here (6f, good to soft) on debut last month. Ran green enough that day too, so there is plenty of scope for improvement, especially with an extra furlong to travel. Very interesting contender.
9-4 and beaten just a neck at Windsor (1m, good) on debut last month. The third that day came out and won next time, boosting the form (although the winner failed to follow up), but with potential for improvement he looks a leading player.
Ran green on debut at Epsom (7f, good) last month, so an eventual 3¾L fourth was a respectable effort. Stable's newcomers often take a good step forward for their initial experience, so a competitive run would not surprise.
8L sixth of 10 on his Sandown debut in July (good to soft) when a 12-1 chance. There was encouragement in this performance though and he returns here having been given some time between runs. Interesting potential improver.
Showed some promise at Wolverhampton on debut, but failed to build on that on her turf debut at Epsom last time. Has a bit to prove going into this as a result.

Forecasts
Soldier To Follow (13/8), Voice of The North (7/4), Dubai Empire (5/2), Ormesher (5/1), Wax And Wane (9/1), Iconic Code (14/1), Contrebasse (20/1), Dr Richard Kimble (66/1)
Dubai Empire steps up in trip this time and should benefit from that, so it would not surprise to see him go very close. Ormesher clearly surprised a few people with his debut effort here and is another likely player again, along with Voice Of The North and Wax And Wane. However, SOLDIER TO FOLLOW also made a good debut at Windsor and with the horse that followed him home having won next time, he might be the one to side with today.
- Soldier To Follow
- Ormesher
