From a highly respected yard and nicely bred, but has shown very little in two starts so far. At least qualifies for a mark after this but hard to fancy on the evidence already in the book.
Related to several useful types, all winners between 6f and 1m. Yard always respected with its runners on the south coast and this colt is well worth a check in the betting.
Made very little impression in each of his starts so far and needs to improve dramatically for the switch to turf. Hard to see the colt having an impact on this occasion.
Expensive purchase but has yet to live up to the billing of his €550,000 price tag as a two-year-old. Faded when upped to a mile at Goodwood last time so will at least appreciate the drop in trip. But plenty to prove just now.
Nothing out of the ordinary on debut but improved to finish second behind a potentially decent type at Lingfield in July. That form took a slight knock since but this isn't any stronger and he doesn't have much to find. Well worth considering.
Finished last on debut and fared a little better on his first start after a gelding operation when ninth of 12 at Newbury last month. Another with something to find.
Forecasts
Rastrelli (6/5), Sarstedt (15/8), Illusional (7/2), Ashington (16/1), Swift Fox (33/1), Kalakchee (66/1)
It may be worth chancing that SARSTEDT has a bit more to offer and he gets the nod as the one to be on in this modest company. Illusional represents a top yard and comes a long way to make his racecourse debut; so has to merit at least a check in the betting, while Rastrelli may appreciate the drop in trip and is feared as the best of the rest.
