Winner of three races, most recent of those coming here in July. Ran well in defeat last time out on soft ground and could do even better if he settles better. Could be hard to beat.

Listed winner in France last year but he's been disappointing this campaign and no signs of a revival at Ascot last time out. Plenty to prove at present.

Very consistent sort who wasn't disgraced here last time out. Yard have a good record at this course and he's run well on soft ground before but he needs a career best to land this. Each-way claims.

Won twice as a juvenile but unplaced on three starts this year. Likely we've not seen the best of her yet and she won't mind the soft ground but she needs to bounce back.

Back to form with a win at Ripon last time out, making all in impressive fashion and should remain effective carrying a penalty but this is a stronger race and she hasn't always been the most consistent type.

Winner of his first two starts but has blown his chances from the stalls on some of his more recent efforts. Not disgraced here last time and this is probably and easier race so has each-way claims for a yard that do particularly well here.

Ripon winner last time out, sticking to his task in game fashion and 5lb rise not unfair for that. Has run well in soft ground before but has struggled for a consistency a little in recent times and needs to build on that latest run.

Won two of his six starts since joining this yard but will need first-time cheekpieces to eke out some improvement if he is to get his head in front here and has looked more of a fast ground horse so may not want any more rain.

Winner of his two latest starts but up another 5lb for a narrow win last time out and may struggle up in class.

Forecasts

Dakota Gold (5/2), Pennsylvania Dutch (9/2), Muscika (8/1), Hee Haw (8/1), Gnaad (8/1), Silent Echo (8/1), Shamsaya (17/2), Major Jumbo (9/1), Private Matter (12/1), Hope Solo (14/1)

Verdict

DAKOTA GOLD enjoys soft ground and he's seemingly the one to side with in the finale. Kevin Ryan enjoys his runners at this course and Major Jumbo could run well while similar could be said for William Haggas' yard and Pennsylvania Dutch shaped like a return to form was near last time out.
  1. Dakota Gold
  2. Major Jumbo
  3. Pennsylvania Dutch
