All bar one of six career successes over this 6f trip, latest at Newcastle (AW) in March. Went very close at Ayr and Carlisle over 5f this summer off today's rating, though may not want much ease underfoot.
Consistent sort with three wins and seven placed efforts from 21 outings. Has been running over 5f but this looks more his trip and handles cut in the ground. Good chance on these terms.
Three-time winner since joining this yard, including turf breakthrough at Hamilton in May (6f, good to firm). Beaten 3½L over 7f here last week but back on workable mark over this trip. Soft conditions a concern.
Dead-heated over this trip at Chelmsford in March on AW, probably at best over the minimum trip on better ground, tame on debut for this yard last month at Ffos Las (6f, heavy), gets first-time blinkers here.
Just a maiden win on debut at Brighton over this trip in 2015 to show from 10 runs thus far, four of them since joining this handler. Couple of recent attempts over 5f were better, but others hold more appeal today.
Won a couple of races on the AW for Roger Varian in 2015, disappointing the following year and moved on for 22,000 gns in October 2016. This trainer is yet to threaten to get the best out of him and is opposed despite a tumbling mark and new hood.
Is now rated 4lb lower than when winning this race a year ago on soft ground, both turf efforts this year have been laboured, off since mid-June when uncompetitive in big field at York. Watch in betting for return.
Seven-time turf winner from 46 attempts, form has been picking up lately though has had clearer chances than this at Hamilton and Carlisle over this trip on similar ground and found a few too good. Not out of things.
Now eight-years-old and had been showing tentative signs of progress before poor effort over 5f here last month (also ran poorly over 7f previous visit). Last won in 2015 off mark of 96 but hard to be confident in chances these days.
Last won on AW at Chelmsford in October 2015, best effort so far for this handler came over 6f at Newmarket in May on soft ground, hasn't had that again since and races from 3lb lower now with visor tried first time. Interesting runner.
Held on all six starts for this stable and handicap mark is falling as a result. Now rated 6lb lower than for his latest success and not dismissed out of hand.

Conditions here will be worth noting, plenty of these may not want to see the rain arriving. This looks a decent chance for POMME DE TERRE to get back to winning ways, a former C&D scorer, he'll have no problems handling some cut in the ground and has dropped a few pounds after running over 5f recently. This trip is his optimum and with a handy 5lb claim, he looks to be holding fair claims having gone close over the trip at York in July off today's rating. Start Time is worth a look with new headgear and the stable now in better form, while Secret Missile would be interesting on softish ground based on his Newmarket effort in May. Last year's winner Money Team is well-weighted off a break if ready to show his best while Ancient Astronaut, winner over C&D already this term, continues to run well and will handle softer ground in a first-time visor that could assist his claims.
