Progressed at Lingfield over the winter, reaching a peak when a ready winner of a 1m Conditions Stakes. Not at that level of form since (didn't get a clear passage on her latest start) and needs to produce a career best from a sizable absence.

Has won five of her 16 turf starts and impressive when winning at Sandown last month in soft ground. Possibly unsuited by the step up in trip last time and she's probably better over 7f.

Runner-up behind a progressive sort over C&D two starts back and respectable effort when seventh of 27 here over 7f last time. Step back up in trip probably in her favour but her poor strike-rate is a little off-putting.

Winner on seasonal return but found life tougher back on turf off her revised mark last time out at Goodwood. Seemingly not at her best that day and too soon to be righting her off but she doesn't look entirely straight-forward.

Winner over a mile on soft ground at Newbury in July but not at her best at Goodwood last time out. Still looks on a fair mark and gets the services of a talented 3lb claimer so no surprise to see her bounce back on a more conventional track.

Has rattled off a hat-trick this campaign and not beaten far at Musselburgh last time when dropped back ½f in trip. Gives the impression she'll appreciate the step up to a mile and 3lb rise looks manageable.

Has won five times this year and she's the type to bounce back after a poor effort at York last time, possibly going off too hard from the front. Needs a career best off this mark but step back up in trip is in her favour and shouldn't be dismissed.

Has won back-to-back races this summer but run came to an end at Newmarket when third of five last time out. Winner has come out and run a big race subsequently and she's been dropped 1lb for that effort so shouldn't be ruled out.

Back to form with a win at Yarmouth last time out and both her wins have come over a mile with soft in the going description. 4lb rise for that effort looks fair and claims if she can build on that run.

Forecasts

Havre De Paix (11/4), Dubara (9/2), Amabilis (11/2), Peach Melba (11/2), Soul Silver (6/1), Killay (7/1), Seduce Me (8/1), Black Bess (8/1), Crowning Glory (8/1), Whispered Kiss (11/1), Cheerfilly (12/1), Stellar Surprise (14/1), Somethingthrilling (16/1)

Verdict

KILLAY looks capable of running well on handicap debut and the manner of her latest effort at Salisbury was impressive. Whispered Kiss has each-way claims now stepped back up to the mile while Peach Melba wasn't beaten far last time out and is another who should appreciate the step up in trip.
