Cost $160,000 as a yearling and clearly a smart prospect on the evidence of a smooth win over 1m at Newmarket (good to soft) first time out last month. No surprise if he was up to conceding weight all-round.
Cost 38,000 guineas as a yearling but no real market confidence behind him when well beaten at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) first time out. Likely to do better over an extra furlong with that experience to draw on.
Son of Sir Percy who changed hands for £120,000 as a yearling having cost less as a foal. Half-brother to three winners, so worth a market check on his debut.
Picked up for €31,000 at the Breeze-Up sales in May but unfancied and soundly beaten on his debut in a 7f Doncaster maiden last month. Likely to need more time.
A 150,000 guineas son of Camelot, he lived up to his name first time out when running on after meeting interference in a maiden won by long odds-on hotpot, Deja, at Wolverhampton. In good hands, entitled to respect.
March foal by Poet's Voice out of a dam who won up to 1m2f. Closely-related to the 1m3f winner Finidaprest. Jockey booking suggest he isn't the stable's best hope as he makes a racecourse debut.
Son of Dark Angel who cost $165,000 as a yearling and offered plenty to build on when third behind easy winner, Connect, over 7f at Sandown first time out. Longer trip sure to work in his favour, worth considering.
Dawn Approach colt and a half-brother to the useful 1m4f winner Theophilus. Yard's newcomers always command respect and this $300,000 purchase is no exception.
Cost 105,000 guineas but looking a tad expensive at that price on the evidence of two mediocre efforts over 7f so far. Likely to do better over 1m but others preferred, even though jockey bookings suggest he's the stable pick.
Cost €52,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners, most notably the smart 1m-1m4f winner Vif Monsieur. Yard's strike-rate with AW juveniles isn't great, so probably best watched unless market vibes suggest otherwise.
Decent effort first time out when just touched off in a fillies maiden over 7f here but took a step backwards when soundly beaten at Salisbury next time (7f, good to firm) despite going off favourite. Questions to answer against the colts.
Forecasts
Roaring Lion (4/5), Tabernas (5/1), La La Land (11/2), Verstappen (14/1), Camomile Lawn (14/1), Dragon Mountain (16/1), Eyecatcher (20/1), Compliance (25/1), Dream Mount (40/1), Feragust (66/1), Vision Clear (66/1)
Roaring Lion looked a nice prospect when scoring with the minimum of fuss at Newmarket first time out and has obvious claims of following up but, considering he has to concede 6lb all round, it may pay to take him on. Eyecatcher and La La Land both showed enough first time out to merit consideration but, if there is any value, it may lie with the $300,000 newcomer TABERNAS with Charlie Appleby's juveniles still going so well.
- Tabernas
- Roaring Lion
- Eyecatcher
