Not much to shout about in starts at Sandown and Salisbury, but likely to do better in time, perhaps when running in nurseries after qualifying for a handicap mark following this run.
Son of Kodiac who cost £14,000 at the breeze-up sales in April. and is a half-brother to a number of winners. including useful 7f performer Kitaaby. Showed early speed when last of four at Kempton on debut and may need more time.
Holy Roman Emperor colt who is a half-brother to 7f juvenile winner Ultimate Avenue. Green when well behind Buffer Zone on debut and looks a longer-term prospect.
Failed to beat a rival on debut at Newmarket, but was much better last time at Salisbury where he was not far behind Buffer Zone. Needs to improve again and the suspicion is that he will be seen to best effect in nurseries.
Plenty of promise on first two starts and ran a good race at Windsor to chase home a horse who went on to be placed in a Group 3 contest at York. Has prospects if able to replicate that display.
Debut promise at Nottingham was followed by a close second at Yarmouth where he was carried left by the winner. Would not need to improve much on that effort to get involved.
Society Rock colt who cost 120,000gns as yearling and has stamina on his dam's side. Plenty of promise when second of eight on debut at Nottingham and has a solid chance for leading connections.
Another son of Society Rock who was an expensive €160,000 purchase at the breeze-up sales in May. Started slowly and was green on debut at Windsor and will surely have benefited from the experience. Big chance for respected stable.
Yet another Society Rock offspring who fetched £36,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to five winners. Stable had a juvenile winner at Royal Ascot this season, so any representative from the yard warrants respect.
Bated Breath filly out of a dam who won six races, including five at Brighton. Sent off at 50-1 when sixth of seven on debut at Windsor and is probably one for nurseries later in the season.

Forecasts
Society Power (5/6), Take Me With You (6/4), Mountain Guard (4/1), Buffer Zone (9/2), Jupiter (5/1), Manthoor (6/1), Bobby's Charm (14/1), Gowing Gowing Gone (20/1), Insurgence (25/1), Cristal Pallas Cat (50/1), Dance Emperor (66/1), Amaretto (66/1), River Rule (66/1)
Much the stronger division of this maiden. Buffer Zone makes plenty of appeal on his Salisbury debut run, while Mountain Guard also shaped well on his racecourse bow and has sound claims. The selection, though, is SOCIETY POWER, who did plenty wrong on his debut at Windsor and still went close. Jupiter and Manthoor are others to consider in a hot little contest.
- Society Power
- Buffer Zone
- Mountain Guard
