No win for a couple of years and now having his second run for a new yard. Handicapper is releasing his grip but in truth he shows no signs of being able to take advantage and needs to prove himself at the trip too.
Trip ideal and handles most ground, so has those plus points, and ran well on his comeback run this year when a close second at Nottingham. Every chance he will come on from that and must be taken seriously again here.
Has progressed nicely and might have done better again on his last couple of starts had he not been held up so far off the pace. Only another 1lb higher than latest solid effort and with trip and likely ground ideal, should go close.
Winner at Newmarket in August and hard to knock his effort a week later in a competitive York handicap. Improvement seems to have coincided with the application of a hood and so there's no saying he's done with yet.
Had looked on the upgrade before latest dismal effort at Newmarket, made favourite but well beaten. Possible the soft ground there didn't suit so may bounce back, but a bit of a risky proposition after that.
Wins in his turn and it came around again at Bath last time, springing a 25/1 surprise. Up 5lb and in a better grade of race here though, so despite plenty of track form, may have to give best to some improving types.

Forecasts
Rigoletto (5/4), Ehtiraas (9/4), Zymyran (9/2), Whip Nae Nae (6/1), Redgrave (9/1), Breden (14/1), Eltezam (16/1), Mister Musicmaster (20/1)
There's very little between most of these on form and on that score, WHIP NAE NAE is given the vote as he may be able to dominate here. Back to form on his latest start and if holding his form, can go in again. Breden would have been a stronger fancy with more of a pace up front but he's worth keeping an eye on with a view to the near future. Rigoletto too will be held up for a late run and can prove the main danger. Ehtiraas should improve again and is another worthy of consideration in a tricky event.
