Navan bumper winner for Noel Meade (Feb 2016) who had appeared one paced in a couple of starts for this stable before making all to take a weak 2m5f+ maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot last month. Up in grade, but ideal follow up opportunity.
Former Point-to-Point winner who downed amongst others the enigmatic Hawkhurst when a 14L C&D maiden hurdle winner on stable debut in May. Possibly found out stamina wise latest over further and the only realistic threat to Gettysburg Address.
Struggled to beat too many home in three starts in bumpers and tailed off (eventually pulled up) at odds of 250/1 on hurdles debut at Perth (2m) in April. Up in trip.
Fair to describe this mare as woeful in bumpers (failed to beat a single rival in two attempts), and has achieved nothing of any note over hurdles both here and at Sedgefield recently.
Forecasts
Gettysburg Address (1/4), Talkofgold (3/1), Katy Royal (100/1), Wandaover (150/1)
GETTYSBURG ADDRESS steps up in grade from Newton Abbot (maiden hurdle winner), but with only Talkofgold to beat, this race represents an even easier option, and he should be another winner on the board for Richard Johnson as he pursues a third straight jockeys championship.
