Still a maiden after four starts under rules but seemingly improved on second start for this yard at Stratford last time (2m novices hurdle good to soft). Similar conditions are anticipated and this contest lacks any real strength in depth.
Ballinrobe bumper winner (May 2016) for Liz Doyle who has remained consistent, but without progressing over hurdles since switched to this stable. Back from a disappointing chasing debut at Bangor last month but with his trainer in excellent form.
Moderate in bumpers, and her opening hurdles effort (runner up to Symphony of Angels over C&D in June) flatters her. She would appear more of a handicap prospect, albeit having been held at that level on her last two starts.
Most likely has run to a similar level of form on both starts over hurdles to date; over differing trips at Musselburgh (good). Likely to race prominently and that can often suit at Hexham. One of the likelier contenders.

Kalanisi Glen (6/4), Middlebrow (2/1), Sophie Olivia (9/4), Reivers Lodge (14/1), Outlaw Josey Wales (25/1)
A race which appears to lack any real strength in depth, and looks an ideal opportunity for KALANISI GLEN to break his duck on his third start for Jennie Candlish. His recent Stratford second (comfortably held) to the 123 rated Champagne City is the best single piece of form on offer, and appearing marginally less exposed than Middlebrow, he should prove good enough.
