In good form earlier this year but held on his last three outings including over 1m4f at Newmarket (soft) last time out. Interesting to see how he fares stepping up in trip.

Consistent filly who's finished in the first three on all four starts since completing an AW treble at Kempton in January. Races off a mark 3lb higher than when runner-up over an extended 2m4f here a month ago.

Not beaten far when finishing fourth over 2m at Ascot (good-to-soft) last month and has run well on the AW subsequently. Races off the same mark today and is an interesting runner in this contest.

Best effort in recent starts came when beaten a neck over 2m at Chester (good) on Saturday. Races off the same mark today and of interest having won over C&D in the past.

Placed on both starts since returning from a spell over hurdles. Most recent of those came when beaten 4L into third at Chepstow (2m, good) last week and worth a check in the market today.

Finished runner-up to a progressive rival over 2m at Ascot (good-to-soft) in July but failed to beat a rival home over shorter at Chester a month ago. Return to 2m is likely to suit.

Forecasts

Aurora Gray (11/4), Mister Manduro (11/4), Arthur Mc Bride (3/1), Fleeting Visit (4/1), Corpus Chorister (7/1), Arty Campbell (10/1), Percy Veer (14/1), Going Up (16/1), Jacob Cats (20/1)

Verdict

The consistent AURORA GRAY can go one better than when finishing runner-up over further at this track a month ago in this competitive 2m handicap. The selection has won twice already in 2017 and can claim a third victory despite a 3lb rise for her latest second. Mister Manduro can put a disappointing effort last time out behind him by claiming second having finished runner-up to a useful looking rival previously while previous C&D winner Arthur McBride can take third.
  1. Aurora Gray
  2. Mister Manduro
  3. Arthur Mc Bride
