Grand campaigner who has won 14 of his 68 races. Won amateur riders' handicaps at York and Epsom in the summer and although not at that level in two recent outings, a return to better ground could see him bounce back.
Back to placed form off this mark on his last two starts, but has not won for almost a year. Has a course win on his CV and has each-way claims on going which should suit.
Won a C&D handicap in June, but has found it tough off higher marks since and faded rather tamely at Pontefract last time. Has been dropped 2lb and stable is in good form, so he needs to be considered.
Two runs since joining this yard from the late Alan Swinbank and the latest of them saw him finish a close third in a Haydock handicap. Has a chance on that display, but has yet to win on turf which is a negative.
Won one of his five starts for Peter Chapple-Hyam, and the latest of two runs for his current yard saw him run with credit despite suffering a troubled passage in the Melrose Handicap at York. Has been dropped 2lb and looks a threat.
Landed a 7f Catterick maiden when trained by David O'Meara, but was held in a long list of handicaps. Starts out for a new trainer and perhaps the change of scenery will produce some improvement.
Last win was achieved in October, 2015, but his handicap mark has been falling and he ran with credit in a Catterick amateur riders' handicap last time. Positive jockey booking suggests a bold show is on the cards.
Veteran performer who is still capable of holding his own at this level when conditions are in his favour. May have found the ground too soft on his latest outing.
Landed a 1m4f Wolverhampton handicap two starts ago and ran well to be second over C&D off 2lb lower on latest outing. Winner has gone in again since, so the form is solid. Leading contender with top jockey booked.
In good form in March when landing back-to-back wins on the AW at Newcastle, but two subsequent runs on turf were not so productive. Handicapper has relented a little, but he has something to prove on turf.
Won a Newbury handicap for Ed Walker in June, but went up 6lb to current mark and two starts for this trainer have seen him well held. Needs to find extra.
Forecasts
Zack Mayo (6/5), Redicean (4/1), King's Coinage (15/2), Sellingallthetime (10/1), Busy Street (12/1), Theos Lolly (12/1), Tamayuz Magic (14/1), Tapis Libre (25/1), Itlaaq (50/1), Dutch Artist (50/1), Up Ten Down Two (66/1)
Quite a competitive middle-distance handicap and one in which top weight Tapis Libre can go well on more suitable ground. Zack Mayo is lightly-raced and capable of a bold show, while Sellingallthetime looks to be running into form and should go well. The selection, though, is REDICEAN, who shaped well in a hot York handicap last time and has dropped to a viable handicap mark.
- Redicean
- Zack Mayo
- Tapis Libre
