C&D winner who now reverts to wearing blinkers after running a respectable race last time out at Carlisle and this slight ease in grade may well help him. His last win came in this contest last year off a 4lb here mark and he has a chance of a repeat.
Irish raider who has a course win to her name when trained by Geoff Harker although one win apart since then he form looks pretty ordinary. Has of late though caught the eye on a couple of occasions over 7f and has chances if coping with the 6f.
An inconsistent sort he is in good form at the moment and got off the mark for the season n emphatic fashion having run well the time before. Always looks awkward especially under pressure but capable on his day.
Has always produced his best form around here being a five-time C&D winner although the last of those wins came a while ago. Running poorly of late though and despite a good draw the losing run is likely to continue even off a career low mark.
A course winner over 5f a win that came when he was in a golden spell last year and he's only running respectably this year so far. On the plus side he's well below his last winning mark and has the assistance of a leading amateur here.
Winner of a 5f handicap here last time out (a race he had won the previous year) his form over 6f is nothing like as good (never won at this trip). Rarely holds his form for long and may well to struggle to follow-up here.
Returns to 6f after showing up well on a rare turf outing last time at Carlisle although it remains to be seen if he can back that run up. Has won over this course and a winner at 6f but his turf form is below that on the AW.
Twice a C&D winner here he was well behind Knockamany Bends last time out and looked to struggle with the pace over 5f. Now back up to 6f he's still a disappointing sort and best watched again for now.
Has looked on a couple of occasions of late that he could be in good enough form to land something like this. Didn't run too badly last time out under this rider and not ruled out here in a weak race.
Last winning form came back in 2015 and hasn't shown much form for quite some while now. Was back from a long break last time but showed very little to get excited about.
Inconsistent sort who usually runs at Ayr and was a winner there over 7f in July off a mark of 46. This trip looks on the short side though and he generally pulls to be considered a backable project.

Just a low grade affair but there are a few in with chances here although they do take some trusting Mitchum has the best rider in the race on board and is off a mark he should be able to win off. Breezolini is another who may attract some interest and he’s in with a chance if he copes with this 6f and Baron Run would have to figure if he’s pepped up by a return to his favourite course. WHIPPHOUND isn’t the most consistent animal but is in good form at the moment and he’s a rather token suggestion in a race where Picks Pinta and AJ Cook can be given a squeak also.
