Bidding to complete a hat-trick following turf wins at Brighton over this trip and at Lingfield (6f) earlier this week. Carries a 6lb penalty for that latest success and has made all the last twice.
Sole success came on debut in September 2015. Decent efforts of late including over an extended 7f at Leicester (soft) last time out and races off his 2lb lower AW mark today.
Ran well when finishing runner-up at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) over this trip in June but disappointed over the same C&D last time out. Races off a 16lb higher AW mark today and was a non-runner here on Thursday.
Returned to form when third on just her second AW start at Wolverhampton over this trip last time out. Races off a 1lb lower mark and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.
Lacked consistency since winning over this trip at Lingfield in January. Gelded since finishing well beaten over 1m at Chepstow in June and one to note in this contest.
Ran well when third in an amateur riders contest at Redcar (1m, good-to-soft) a month ago. Finished last on the AW at Newcastle since and wears blinkers for the first time today.
Signs of ability in three starts in maiden company but held on both handicap outings so far. Fair effort when finishing fourth at Salisbury over this trip last time and interesting off a 3lb lower mark in her first Class 6 contest.
Couple of promising efforts in three AW maidens and ran well when 1¾L third of seven in first time blinkers (retained) on handicap debut at Brighton (good-to-firm) in July. Interesting off the same mark today.
Dual winner in 2016 including in a 6f maiden at this track on his second start. Well held of late and disappointing in a 1m2f seller earlier this week. Wears blinkers for the first time.
Forecasts
Miss Mirabeau (11/4), King Of Swing (7/2), False Id (5/1), Jumping Around (6/1), Characterized (7/1), Ocean Temptress (8/1), Auric Goldfinger (10/1), The Happy Hammer (20/1), Nonno Giulio (25/1)
The unexposed MISS MIRABEAU can improve on trainer Sir Mark Prescott's recent 20% strike-rate (4/20) by taking this opening apprentice handicap. The selection ran well on handicap debut last time and with the useful Manuel Fernandes in the saddle he is taken to get the better of hat-trick seeking Ocean Temptress who carries a penalty for her latest success. Auric Goldfinger's sole success came on the AW over this trip and he can claim third having been gelded since his latest outing.
- Miss Mirabeau
- Ocean Temptress
- Auric Goldfinger
