Form of his first two races has not worked out well. Found the concession of a penalty beyond him last time but this may not be as competitive as the numbers suggest.
Cheap purchase who sprang a minor surprise to score on soft ground at Leicester three weeks ago. There have been mixed signals from the form since and the ground is forecast to be less testing.
Cheap purchase who is yet to beat a rival. Showed there was something to work on last time but he remains a long term project.
Settled better last time when third to a well regarded type from Mark Johnston's yard. Going the right way and definitely one to consider.
4,500 gns son of Rip Van Winkle out of a dam who won three races over middle-distances. Yard not associated with juvenile success and he is in a strong heat for his debut.
€4,500 son of Rock Of Gibraltar out of a dam who won a minor AW race over 7f. Half-brother to fair middle-distance handicapper Honest Deal. Represents a top yard but one which has had just modest success with this age group in 2017.
10,000 gns son of Casamento out of a Grade Three winner in the US who has produced seven winners. Jockey bookings suggest the yard have better options in this but he is worth noting for the future.
8,000 gns son of Cityscape and half-brother to three winners. Yard are 1-20 with juveniles over the past five years.
£12,000 breeze-up purchase from the successful first crop of Havana Gold and out of a dam who is well related. Stable have a nice crop of youngsters and the market will be a guide to her chances.

Those with previous experience have only achieved a modest level of form and this will probably not take much winning. Moxy Mares shaped well in a sub-standard Doncaster maiden and Breathable was third in a five runner race. Trumps Up won a Leicester race which has seen the well beaten favourite score since, but those who finished around him have done nothing for the form. FRENCH FLYER looks vulnerable under a penalty but sets the standard and promises to do better over this longer trip. Golden Guide looks the most interesting of the newcomers.
