Improved on third start in maiden company having been gelded when runner-up at Nottingham last time and gives the impression he'll enjoy this step up in trip. Respected on handicap debut and already proven himself to some extent in the conditions.
Has been running consistently well without getting his head in front this season until last time at Lingfield when produced nicely under a fine ride from this jockey. Doesn't look entirely straightforward but certainly a player off 4lb higher.
Won two of his last five starts, with three of the losses all coming in hotter races. Doesn't always settle well but seemingly on a fair mark and he'll find this easier.
Has gone close on all four starts since being switched to turf but going up the handicap without winning isn't ideal. Seemingly versatile tactics wise which should be useful from a less than ideal draw.
Benefited from a smart ride at Salisbury last time out and stayed on well to win comfortably. Seemingly needs a strong pace to help him settle but good chance he can follow up with the same rider back on board.
Improved for her debut with a respectable effort at Bath and took another step forward at Salisbury last time when holding on gamely. Not certain to enjoy the longer trip on that evidence and may need to improve again.
Winner for Mark Johnston last year but out of form on three starts since joining this yard. Hard to fancy off this sort of mark at present.
Finally justified favouritism at Ffos Las last time out in the mud and unlikely to get conditions that soft here but seemingly going the right way and there's been market support for him on several occasions, so obviously thought capable of better.
Winner on the AW at Chelmsford last year and not beaten far at Wolverhampton next time out but tailed off at Nottingham last time out. Given time to recover from that but entitled to need this run after an absence.
Improved to finish runner-up on AW debut but has shown signs of inexperience on three of her four starts to date. Needs to leave that trait behind on her return to turf but improvement expected at least.
Forecasts
Rising (4/1), Eolian (9/2), Golden Wolf (5/1), Know Your Limit (11/2), Precious Angel (7/1), Mister Blue Sky (15/2), Viking Hoard (14/1), Keeper's Choice (16/1), See The City (16/1), Peace And Plenty (25/1)
RISING may be hard to beat after a solid run at Nottingham last time in similar conditions to what he will get here. Eolian must be thought capable of better but Golden Wolf may prove the main danger and he was well on top come the finish for his win last time out.
- Rising
- Golden Wolf
- Eolian
