Showed plenty of promise in two Irish point-to-points before joining current yard. Hurdling debut in a weaker race than this at Warwick was only fair and he needs to take a step forward in a first-time hood.
Cost £30,000 as a three-year-old and is a half-brother to a winning chaser in France. Represents leading connections and will have been well schooled for this hurdling debut, so certainly one to note.
Has displayed a fair level of ability in three bumpers, including in a hot contest at Cheltenham. Makes his hurdling debut in a hood under his top jockey and is well worth a check in the betting market.
Point-to-point winner who showed ability in novice company before falling when set to win a handicap hurdle at Fontwell on his last start. Has been raised 7lb, but returns to action in maiden company and a couple of these may be better prospects.
Winner of nine of his 56 races on the Flat. Higher rating on the AW than turf, so that has to be factored into the equation, but he is certainly of interest on his belated hurdling debut.
Winner on the Flat in France, but two efforts on the level for current stable this summer were only average. No shortage of promise in two hurdles outings, however, and is a leading contender for his top stable.
Won a bumper at Worcester in June, 2013, but has been lightly raced since and clearly has had her problems. Returned from a long break to run quite promisingly in a Market Rasen maiden hurdle last month, but needs to take another step forward.
Forecasts
Flashing Glance (9/4), Saint Contest (5/2), Land League (11/4), Dragon Du Clos (6/1), Chozen (16/1), Royal Marskell (20/1), Little Dotty (40/1)
Dragon Du Clos is worth a check in the betting market given his connections, while Flashing Glance boasts useful bumper form and is interesting on his hurdling debut and Land League would have won a handicap last time but for falling. Chozen's point-to-point form suggests he has plenty of ability and fair Flat performer Royal Marskell has to be noted on his hurdling debut, but the selection is SAINT CONTEST, who has shaped with promise when third on both hurdling starts and can get off the mark for his leading stable.
- Saint Contest
- Flashing Glance
