Won over C&D off a 1lb lower mark in February, has been no more than average on turf in four runs this summer from lower mark but does tend to save best efforts for AW.

Has placed a remarkable 22 times from 55 runs on the AW, but has managed just four wins. Beaten a head on previous two C&D visits into second spot, higher in the ratings now and not one to rely on in a finish.

Won over C&D in January and added two more wins at Lingfield thereafter, hasn't look like winning on turf this summer but return to this surface could be a different story and is respected.

Took advantage of sliding mark over C&D recently when getting the better of Indian Affair in a tight finish. Goes up 3lb for the win and can figure again if showing same enthusiasm.

Is two from four on the AW, including C&D success in 2015 (beat Indian Affair). Scored from a 2lb higher mark over this trip at Lingfield in May and could go well now switched from turf once more.

Filly won a 5f seller here in July, since twice finished second over this trip (no chance with winner latest) and has to be on the shortlist here.

Has been in excellent form at this track lately, winning last two over this trip (Tooty Fruitti second in July). Up 3lb on latest success, would be foolish to rule out another bold effort.

Admirable veteran with 15 career wins to his name, went off 50/1 over C&D 13 days ago and finished second of nine. Races off the same mark now and place claims again surely.

Career record reads 4-42 and was out of sorts around here in the spring over longer trips. Has had a break but hard to be confident this drop in distance will see him turn the corner.

Eight-race maiden and previous efforts on AW leave plenty to be desired, beaten 7½L in ninth of 11 over 7f here earlier in the month.

Yet to place in 11 career starts and has looked regressive at times this season. Racing from 11lb out of the handicap here and surely best watched.

Looks a bit of lost cause at this point in time, having manged to beat home only three of the 77 rivals he's tackled in an eight-race career. Is 15lb out of the handicap for this and a massive shock should he challenge.

Verdict

Plenty of these can be given chances and the betting may prove informative, BOGSNOG has been thriving around here recently and, more pertinently, over this trip. He's won his last two over 6f here, beating Tooty Fruitti in the first of those, and came home well enough last time to warrant the suggestion he can handle the extra 3lb this evening. The filly Tooty Fruitti has again finished second since that run and is considered while Canadian Royal is seemingly on a good mark if turning up here. Top of The Bank and Commanche are respected back on this surface but Indian Affair is not one to be trusted in a close finish and is risky on that basis.

  3. Top of The Bank
