Made all to score in a decisive manner on his second start at Pontefract (5f good), and adopting similar tactics could well suit at this track. However, his other form is moderate at best and that success appears a flash in the pan.

Promising debut when runner up over 5f at Beverley (good) recently. Taken out of an intended engagement at Carlisle on Tuesday in order to come here instead, and must be one for the shortlist in this contest. Stable doubly represented.

€16,000 juvenile by Lethal Force who showed little on debut when trailing home last of nine to Equitant at Beverley earlier this month (Me Before You eighth). However, time is on her side, and this yard can produce winning sprinters.

Probably improved marginally on her Beverley debut when slightly out of her depth over 6f at Ripon earlier this month. However, will need to do more now surprisingly dropped in trip and has work to do with Me Before You.

Verdict

Not a strong start to the card, and a race in which Brandy Station would have reasonable claims if able to boss his rivals from the front end as he did at Pontefract in May. However, he's been fairly dire since, so the percentage call has to be the far less exposed DEBAWTRY. Her Beverley debut was a pleasing one, and with natural progression assumed, she's the pick of the two David O'Meara trained fillies.
  1. Debawtry
  2. Me Before You
  3. Brandy Station
