In good form earlier in the campaign but now looks weighted to limit. Stiff test on these terms and needs everything to go his way.
Won at Chepstow in June and now back on a handy mark after struggling to back up the success. Not without claims but lacks consistency and comes with risks attached.
Has won from a 1lb higher mark in the past so still feasibly on a winning mark. The fact he is a previous C&D winner is another plus point. But needs to better a poor effort last time out though.
In great heart and comes here chasing a quick-fire hat-trick. C&D winner, so ticks that box, but now weighted to his limit and personal best now required.
Just one win from 25 previous starts and in danger of becoming very frustrating. Needs to be sharpened up greatly for the fitting of a tongue tie.
On a handy mark just now but more than a sneaking suspicion that he has lost his way a tad. Still, he is now 4lb below his last winning mark, so holds solid place claims at least if he can up the ante a touch.
In good heart of late and holds a slight edge over Essaka on the balance of their collated form. Has won from a higher mark in the past so catches the eye as one to bear in mind on these terms. Despite being out of the weights.
0-23 so far; and the fact that she has failed to even make the frame from 11 previous visits to Bath hardly suggests this track is a happy hunting ground. Others make more appeal.
Not won since October 2014 and hard to fancy despite posting one of his more encouraging efforts last time out. Had previously been on a downward spiral so very debatable as to whether he will be in the same frame of mind this time around.
Forecasts
Showmethewayavrilo (11/4), Jaganory (4/1), Swanton Blue (9/2), Oeil De Tigre (13/2), Burauq (8/1), Entertaining Ben (8/1), Essaka (14/1), Ambitious Boy (16/1), Tally's Song (25/1)
This course brings the best out of BURAUQ and, given that he holds a few of these on recent form, the five-year-old edges the nomiation as the one to be on in the finale. Oeil De Tigre also acts well at this altitude and is forwarded as the biggest threat, while Essaka and Showmethewayavrilo can scrap it out as the best of the rest. Jaganory is respected in his bid for a hat-trick but looks to face a tough test on these terms.
- Burauq
- Oeil De Tigre
- Essaka
