Successful twice already this year including on handicap debut over an extended 1m4f at Chester (good-to-firm) in May. Respectable efforts when placed in handicaps over 1m2f the last twice but handicap mark is creeping up.
Goodwood maiden winner over 1m2f on good-to-soft ground in June but well held in first time blinkers (absent here) on handicap debut there subsequently. Interesting to see how he fares here.
Maiden winner over 1m here last October but well beaten since and only marginally better effort when fourth of six on first outing since being gelded at Bath earlier this month. Wears a visor for the first time today.
Made a winning debut over 1m at Newcastle back in March but absence since is a concern. Form of that debut success is nothing special but worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Completed a double when winning over 1m at Chepstow (good-to-firm) back in May. Fair effort over this trip when seventh next time but quickly returned to 1m for his most recent outing. Interesting runner here.
Sole success came over an extended 7f at Ffos Las (good) as a two-year-old. Well beaten in two starts since finishing runner-up over 1m4f at Wolverhampton last month and this return to the AW should suit.
Victorious off a 7lb lower mark over 1m2f at Nottingham (good-to-firm) back in April. Ran well when third over this trip next time but disappointed on his first appearance since being gelded having been sent off favourite at Windsor last month.
Forecasts
Atkinson Grimshaw (13/8), Pivoine (7/2), Tuff Rock (7/1), Eyes On Asha (7/1), Our Boy (8/1), Arctic Sea (11/1), Outcrop (16/1)
OUTCROP can put a disappointing effort at Windsor last time out behind him by returning to form in this competitive three-year-old handicap. The selection represents a stable with a 25% strike-rate (5/20) in recent weeks and can get the better of handicap debutant Eyes On Asha who was a debut winner at Newcastle earlier this year. Atkinson Grimshaw has finished in the frame the last twice and can claim third on this occasion.
- Outcrop
- Eyes On Asha
- Atkinson Grimshaw
