Back to form at Brighton (6f, good to firm) last time out with a really good effort, for which she has gone up 7lb. Given her previous form from lower marks than this, she is going to need to take another step forward if she is to follow up.
Scored over C&D (good) in June from just 1lb lower and ran well back over C&D since then. Looks capable of being hugely competitive again now that the handicapper has relented slightly.
Without a win for two years and 16 starts, but the closest he has come in that time was here over C&D last month. when beaten a short head by Highland Acclaim. On the same terms today it should again be close between the pair.
Scored over C&D last month and is 2-3 at this venue, including this race last year from the same mark as today. Drops back in class for this and should give another very good account.
Won over 5½f at Bath (firm) last month and went close when stepped up to 7f here next time. Well held when upped to this mark at Windsor last time and more now required to get back to winning ways.
Goes into this just 1lb higher than when scoring at Newmarket (5f, good to soft) in June. Has been held in higher grades since, but back at this level he looks a threat to all.
Has been reasonably consistent in this sort of company this season, winning over this trip at Thirsk in May and also going close at Haydock. Should again be competitive now that his mark has eased slightly.
Forecasts
Handytalk (4/1), Coronation Day (9/2), Scofflaw (9/2), Reputation (5/1), Highland Acclaim (11/2), Poet's Society (8/1), Huntsmans Close (8/1)
Now that he returns to this grade and this venue, HIGHLAND ACCLAIM is taken to repeat last year's success in this contest from the same handicap mark. Reputation and Huntsmans Close are feared along with Poet's Society, while Scofflaw should also be thereabouts in a competitive event.
