Runner-up over C&D on previous turf start early in the month, runs off the same mark and will be competitive with reproduction of that effort.
Won four times under the care of Richard Hannon but so far unable to produce that kind of form for this yard. Gets a hood added here in latest bid to recapture winning ways.
Winner four times this year from six runs, handles any ground but all those successes have come around Windsor and was poor both times removed from that favoured arena. Up 4lb after latest success which also makes life tougher.
Useful performer when running at Meydan last year but wasn't in the same form at this year's carnival and has been disappointing in three starts for this yard returned to the UK. Looks opposable.
Won over C&D last month and defied 5lb penalty to score again since at Brighton over a mile with a bit in hand. Career-high mark now but is clearly in excellent heart and addition of Ryan Moore adds to the case.
Just the one win from eight starts, was beaten 7L last time at Ripon (1m, good) and needs to produce a marked improvement to have a chance here.
On a long losing run now but signs recently of a revival, blinkers are back on here and drops another 2lb in the ratings to aid cause.
Not getting any younger, but still retains plenty enthusiasm for the job. Three wins from ten runs this year so far, often going well in between and certainly not to be overlooked.
Forecasts
Lord Clenaghcastle (5/4), Sir Plato (5/1), Fujaira Bridge (11/2), Pumaflor (6/1), Character Onesie (15/2), Dubai's Secret (16/1), Shifting Star (22/1), Groor (33/1)
LORD CLENAGHASTLE is in rude health at the moment, defying a penalty to win at Brighton last time having previously scored over this C&D. He's on a career-high mark now but could be up to defying it and have Ryan Moore for company won't harm his chances. Sir Plato would be a massive danger if able to bring his Windsor form with him to this track while Pumaflor and Shifting Star are also considered.
- Lord Clenaghcastle
- Sir Plato
- Pumaflor
