Winner on debut but struggled a little at pattern level on next two starts. Well beaten on seasonal return at Ascot last week and has a bit to prove. May need more relief from the handicapper.
Listed winner last year and not disgraced in Group company towards the end of the campaign but badly out of form in six starts this campaign, including over C&D last time, and plenty to prove at present.
Winner on debut at Newbury and best efforts since have been with soft in the going description. May not get his ground here but should come on for his reappearance over C&D earlier in the month.
Won twice at Musselburgh earlier in the year and back down to a workable mark now after some poor recent efforts. Trainer and jockey have a good strike-rate when combining so claims if bouncing back and won't mind the forecast ground.
Impressive winner at Lingfield on debut when slowly away but didn't recover from a similar poor start at Salisbury last time. Claims if he can get away on terms but seems well suited to cut in the ground and ground likely to be fast enough here.
Won twice last year, including a win over a mile here but has been a little out of form this time around. Booking of De Sousa could see him in a better light and he's back on a fair mark.
Won on second starts as a juvenile at Kempton in impressive fashion but shaped as if amiss on return at Newbury last week. Bit to prove after that effort but a good sign he's turned out again quickly.
Yet to really fulfil her potential in handicaps having started life on and remaining on a handy mark. Looked as though she may well be better suited by a mile going forward and others have better prospects.
Forecasts
Plant Pot Power (2/1), Musawaat (7/2), Ariena (11/2), Bernardo O'Reilly (7/1), Bohemian Flame (10/1), Miss Infinity (11/1), Thomas Cranmer (14/1), Black Bolt (16/1)
THOMAS CRANMER may be the one to side with for a yard in form and he looks on a fair mark. Silvestre De Sousa rides Plant Pot Power for the first time and the colt may be seen in a better light here while stablemate Black Bolt may have disappointed at Newbury last week but he stumbled leaving the stalls that day and may do better here.
- Thomas Cranmer
- Plant Pot Power
- Black Bolt
