Yard have had success before when running their bumper horses on the Flat and this could be another one. He's won his last two bumpers in fairly useful fashion and makes plenty of appeal here if handling this sharp circuit.
From a yard going well over jumps at the moment this one makes her Flat debut here having run poorly over hurdles last time out. Suspicion is that she'll find a few too good here.
Another one to come from the bumper scene but her form in that hasn't been that good and she's been switched to the Flat. Shaped with a little more promise last time but it was only modest form and plenty to do here.
Both runs in maidens so far have shown some promise (well backed on debut) and definitely showed progress last time out at Lingfield over 1m2f looking a more rounded individual. Would have a good chance if he can back those two runs up here up in trip.
Very much sets the standard in form terms having run relatively well in three handicaps over staying trips the furthest last time out (1m6f) finishing a solid third. Takes a step back into maiden company now with plenty going for him.
From a leading yard but the two runs so far separated by 11 months showed very little and she still looked in need of the experience last time out. Still early days and she may be better in handicaps once she gains a mark.
Forecasts
Sable Island (6/4), Scottsdale (9/4), Hats Off To Larry (5/2), Clemency (16/1), Struck By The Moon (20/1), Poppyinthepark (20/1), Just Heather (100/1)
This isn’t a deep contest by any stretch of the imagination with three of the protagonists standing head and shoulders above the rest of the field in form terms. Sable Island is the highest rated in the field but he has had plenty of chances and might not be one to take a short price about and Hats Off To Larry and SCOTTSDALE are preferred at the likely prices with the dual bumper winner being the suggestion.
