The Irregularp11
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: D G Hogan| T: D Hogan| OR:  108
11/2
Progressive sort who has top weight to contend with here but has run fine races in defeat the last twice and has scope for further improvement. Ground should suit and though he will probably stay further this trip is also fine.
2
Horse silk
Konig Hallp25
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-10| J: D N Russell| T: A McCann| OR:  106
9/2
Consistent sort who has been running well recently both over hurdles and on the Flat. Career-high mark now but is still managing to put in big performances even given his relative age, and he has strong claims.
3
Horse silk
Aston Cantlowt300
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-7| J: M W Bowes(5)| T: A McCann| OR:  103| CD
33/1
First run under rules since June 2016, and has been pulled up in point to points twice since. Impossible to fancy based on that form.
4
Horse silk
Danequesth,t36
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-7| J: J J Slevin(3)| T: Miss E Doyle| OR:  103| D
25/1
Previous winner over both this distance and on similar to the forecast ground, and would be well handicapped on his best form, but finished last of all last time. Drop in trip should help.
5
Horse silk
Mistheatre37
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-4| J: R M Power| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR:  100
13/2
Some promise in maiden hurdles but not so good on his sole previous effort in a handicap. 3lb lower which is useful but unlikely to make the difference in a competitive race.
7
Horse silk
Icelipt115
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-2| J: Sean Flanagan| T: D M O'Brien| OR:  98| D
10/1
Winner at Tramore in April and not disgraced at Ballinrobe last time out. Should enjoy the conditions and goes well in large fields but may be a little too high in the handicap to show his best.
8
Horse silk
Bective Cavet12
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-12| J: A E Lynch| T: M J Smith| OR:  94| D
12/1
Has put in some impressive recent efforts in handicap company but form has leveled off since having been hiked up the weights and every possibility he has found his handicap ceiling.
9
Horse silk
Whoyakoddingp29
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Paul Townend| T: G Ahern| OR:  93
6/1
Put in a career best at Limerick last time and drops back a long way in trip here. Concerns that this may be a little on the sharp side but he holds strong form claims if able to show the necessary tactical pace.
10
Horse silk
Coherenth19
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-9| J: J M Moore| T: P J Rothwell| OR:  96
14/1
Yet to get off the mark over hurdles despite posting some solid efforts, has the profile of an improving young horse but needs to do so in order to get involved in this.
11
Horse silk
The Ballyboys39
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-7| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: R Hackett| OR:  89
13/2
Handicap winner in December at Limerick but has been unable to run to that level since. Seems best on soft ground so any rain would be helpful.
12
Horse silk
Balinaboola Lassh7
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-6| J: Danny Mullins| T: G J Power| OR:  88| D
7/1
Was looking like the winner when falling at the last at Tramore last time out, which was a much better effort than at Galway two starts ago. Has a strong chance if showing no ill-effects from that fall.
13
Horse silk
Sparkalarkp5
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-6| J: Phillip Enright| T: V Halley| OR:  88| D
16/1
Not bad on his reappearance at Wexford but poor since, showing little in his last three starts, Much better needed now on a career-low mark.
14
Horse silk
Toor Generalt33
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-6| J: L P Dempsey| T: A J Martin| OR:  88
16/1
Yet to show much in maiden hurdles and makes his handicap debut here. Opening mark seems fair but not lenient and improvement will be needed in order for him to get involved.

Verdict

This open-looking handicap can go to THE IRREGULAR. Denis Hogan's runner seems a progressive sort who should enjoy these conditions and has run very well in defeat the last twice. He has top weight to contend with now but looks a nice prospect and should hit the frame here at the absolute least. Konig Hall has been running very consistently recently and is preferred next, ahead of Whoyakodding .
