Off the mark at the fifth attempt in a bumper at this course last time out. Only carries 1lb extra than the geldings as a result of a mares' allowance, and is a player if transferring that form now back over hurdles.

66/1
Only moderate effort on debut under rules at Kilbeggan last time. Up in trip now but needs to take his form to a new level in order to be considered.
3

Mixed form in bumpers and make his debut over obstacles here. Would have a chance on the best of three runs but seems an inconsistent proposition at this stage who still has plenty to prove.
4
Horse silk
66/1
Misternando gelding who has a relatively unexciting pedigree. Connections wouldn't be renowned for first time out winners in maiden hurdles and so he is passed over on debut.
5
Horse silk
8/1
Has only run one poor race out of his three efforts to date, but has still come up short in each of his races so far. First time tongue strap likely to bring about some further improvement and this may be an easier assignment.

Back up in trip here having run poorly over shorter last time out. Hasn't been particularly fancies for either of his starts to date, and at this stage is probably a place proposition at the most.

4/9
Has shaped with promise in a series of maiden hurdles up to now, and has taken his form to a new level with his three most recent starts. Unraced on ground better than yielding, however, and has something to prove on the surface.

Clonearl215
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-11| J: I J McCarthy| T: M Fahey
66/1
Has finished a long way out of the picture in each of her three starts to date. Steps up in trip here which shouldn't be a negative but is equally unlikely to bring about the necessary levels of improvement.

Megans Bellah1138
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Brian Hayes| T: A McCann
80/1
Makes her debut under rules here in a hood having been pulled up twice in point to points. Others make plenty more appeal.

Ten Theatret13

9/2
One of the more exposed runners in this field, but has shown signs of ability in similar races to this in the past. Goes for some top connections and isn't ruled out here.
May not have handled soft conditions at Wexford last time, so a return to a sounder surface here is likely a positive, but she still needs to show plenty more in order to figure.

Forecasts

Youcannotbeserious (4/9), Ten Theatre (9/2), Storm Racer (8/1), Yes Pat (8/1), Mac Cennetig (14/1), Texas Theatre (16/1), Unchago (20/1), Artic Fever (66/1), Clonearl (66/1), Run James Run (66/1), Megans Bella (80/1)

Verdict

Though she doesn't recieve as much of a weight allowance as her fellow mares due to a victory in a bumper last time out, YES PAT is the one who appeal most here. She won nicely at Kilbeggan last time and her sole run over obstacles to date wasn't a bad effort either. Now returning to hurdling off the back of that victory she can see off the opposition here including Youcannotbeserious, whose form reads well but could do with the ground being softer, and Ten Theatre, who may be able to put his previous experience to good use.
  1. Yes Pat
  2. Youcannotbeserious
  3. Ten Theatre
