Lots of early season entries for late season Group races for the four-year-old, following his Irish Cesarewitch win in October.. Should go well here.
Still to win in five starts this season, well beaten last time out at the Galway festival when fifth of nine over 1m6f on soft ground. Still 10lb higher than last win and it is taking it's toll.
CD winner back in July 2013, last win came in October last year in Curragh 2m handicap on good ground. Could surprise at just 1lb higher than that win.
Ran twice at the Galway festival, winning on his second start by 6L, beating 18 rivals in a maiden hurdle. Last seen on the Flat finishing last of 12 in Curragh 1m4f handicap. Has won on soft and placed at the track.
Won a couple of handicaps in June before being raised a total of 15lb since the first win. Consistent and gutsy but the handicapper may just have a grip here.
Ran in the Stayers' hurdle races at the Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown festivals. Last seen on the Flat in October when only beaten 4L in the November handicap at Leopardstown.
Has run over hurdles the last twice, being pulled up on last start at the Galway festival. Last seen on the Flat over a year ago and maybe best watched today.
Won his last two starts, impressively coming in 18 and 14-runner fields. Could find this a little tough, now 14lb higher than his last win.
133-rated hurdler is one win from three starts on the Flat. Has two wins on soft ground and a win in a similar field size.
124-rated hurdler, two wins from 12 on the Flat. Ninth of 10, beaten 24L on last Flat start in Gowran Park handicap on soft ground.
Finished 14th of 20 in a competitive handicap at the Galway festival, when beaten 15L. Could be dangerous if finding his old form that saw him win on soft ground, over the distance and in a big field size, while he is 7lb lower than last win.
Second of seven, beaten a neck at the recent Tramore festival and can be dangerous only raised 1lb for that run.
CD winner back in July when beating nine rivals on soft ground. Third of seven last time out when beaten favourite at Roscommon. Work to do on handicap debut.
Forecasts
Snow Falcon (11/4), Sea The Lion (11/2), She's So Flawless (6/1), Clongowes (8/1), Laws Of Spin (9/1), Bayan (10/1), Grand Partner (12/1), Aydoun (12/1), Western Boy (16/1), Motherland (16/1), Jan Van Eyck (20/1), Digeanta (20/1), Theos Well (50/1)
The Jim Bolger-trained Clongowes, consistent and gutsy, will possibly try and make all here from stall 13, but he may have to make way for Irish Cesarewitch winner, LAWS OF SPIN, who boasts some fancy entries for the end of the season.
- Laws Of Spin
- Clongowes
- Aydoun
