Has not won for two years and all four of his victories have come over much shorter than this. Has questions to answer stamina-wise, but on the plus side his handicap mark is coming down.
Returned to action in the spring with victory at Bath and something was clearly wrong when he was tailed off on his last start at this track. C&D winner so the trip is not an issue and in with a solid chance if back on song.
Had been running over hurdles before finishing seventh of 10 back on the Flat at Wolverhampton. That form would not be good enough to land this so improvement is necessary.
Nine-race winner, but the last of those successes came way back in June, 2015. Not disgraced on his last two starts, but plenty to do to end his losing sequence.
Some promise in seven starts for Jeremy Gask, and two runs for current trainer have seen him run well to hit the frame. Shaped as though ready for a step up in trip last time and could make his presence felt if he improves for this stamina test.
Better known for his exploits over hurdles, but is 1-7 on the Flat. Makes his debut for this trainer and has to prove he stays this far on the level.
Thorough stayer with plenty of miles on the clock. Has not won for a long time and age is almost certainly catching up with him, but was not disgraced at this track last time.
Best run in six starts for current trainer when second at Lingfield last time. Seemed to stay well enough that day, runs off the same mark and this slightly longer trip should not pose a problem.
Shrugged off a poor run at Nottingham by finishing a close second at Chelmsford last week. Due to go up 4lb for that, which seems a bit harsh, so it is no surprise to see brought out again quickly.
Won over hurdles at Worcester last month and returns to the Flat for the first time since 2015. Seems to be in good heart and hurdling exploits suggest he will stay this trip on the level.

Oxford Blu (11/8), Hermarna (6/1), Macksville (13/2), Teak (13/2), Goldslinger (8/1), Balkinstown (9/1), Danglydontask (10/1), Aristocracy (10/1), See And Be Seen (14/1), Riptide (16/1), Ring Eye (16/1), Chevalgris (25/1), Rocky Elsom (25/1)
Oxford Blu will be popular given his shrewd connections, but he is vulnerable and is taken on with ARISTOCRACY, who ran a blinder over hurdles last time and should be suited by this stamina test back on the Flat. Hermana could well improve for this trip, along with Macksville. Balkinstown also enters the equation.
