Respectable effort on debut at Doncaster before making easy work of his rivals at Pontefract last time, making all to win by 4L. Gives the impression he'll stay this trip and yard in excellent form. More needed but should run well.
Acclamation colt, cost 62,000gns as a yearling and 150,000gns as a Breeze-Up purchase. Very green on debut earlier in the month when finishing 4L behind Beatbox Rhythm and needs to have learnt plenty from that effort to have any chance here.
Beat a rival rated 74 by 10L last time at Pontefract and won with any amount in hand from a tough draw. Plenty to like about that effort and he's interesting here if he takes another step forward. May not want any of the rain that's forecast though.
Farhh colt, half-brother to two useful winners at around this trip and dam was a full-sister to Dubai Millennium, a Dubai World Cup winner. Beautifully bred and made easy work of a decent looking Goodwood maiden last time out. Leading claims here.
Landed the odds when winning a Curragh maiden last month and improved to win back at that course last time. Step up in trip won't be an issue but may not want any of the rain that's forecast.
Impressive when placing in Listed company at Royal Ascot and didn't need to improve to record a facile success at Doncaster. Ran to a similar level at the Goodwood Festival and while he may need some improvement to win, he's a live each-way player.
Belied his odds of 20/1 when nearly winning at Ascot on debut last month and ran out an easy winner at Lingfield in softer conditions last time out. Has to find a whole lot more in this company but yard's runners often improve throughout the year.
Cost 300,000 gns at the Breeze-Ups and half-brother to Group 1 winner Zafisio. Green on debut at Windsor, getting the hang of things late on to get up in the dying strides but needs to have learnt plenty in a short space of time to win this.
Improved from his debut to win here last month but struggled upped in class at Chester last time out. Will appreciate this step up in trip but more needed.
Winner of a decent looking maiden over C&D on debut last month, winning with a fair amount in hand and while he may do better as he steps up in trip, he can't be discounted with another step forward likely and yard are in good form.
Good second on debut and not out of place in a Group 2 at Newmarket at the July Meeting. May not want any rain to arrive but should be thereabouts with more improvement expected.
Forecasts
Dee Ex Bee (6/5), Fleet Review (9/2), Lansky (8/1), Wells Farhh Go (10/1), James Garfield (10/1), Ulshaw Bridge (14/1), Zaaki (20/1), Danzan (25/1), Beatbox Rhythm (25/1), Chief Justice (33/1), Jazeel (50/1)
A typically competitive looking Acomb Stakes that may go the way of the exciting DEE EX BEE who was very impressive when winning at Goodwood on debut. Wells Farhh Go was impressive over course and distance on debut and shouldn't be ruled out with improvement likely while Lansky and Danzan were both impressive last time out and should be thereabouts.
- Dee Ex Bee
- Wells Farhh Go
