Running with credit since winning at Salisbury in June but this intermediate trip is his absolute minimum. Still potentially well handicapped despite being 3lb higher, so feasible chance on these terms. One to bear in mind.

Holding his form and has finished second on each of his previous four visits to Bath, so dangerous to rule out. Has struggled to win from this sort of mark in the past though.

Ended a long losing run last time out, which was just reward for a handful of respectable efforts. More required now and not certain to be in the same frame of mind despite only being 2lb higher today.

C&D winner last time out. That was a weaker race but is in great heart for in this bid for a quick three-timer. The ground should suit and weighted to the hilt just now, but may still just have enough in the locker to be a force in this company.

Won this race twice already and respected from a 4lb lower mark than last year. Yard excels with this type of animal but the mare has a bit to find with Seamster; so has to pull something out of the fire to avoid the hat-trick bid being thwarted.

Handicapper starting to cut him some slack again but has form to reverse with Our Lord and needs to work hard to get one over on his old rival.

Not been at his best for his current yard and comes here with plenty to prove. Others readily preferred on this occasion. 0-from-14 on turf also an uninspiring statistic.

Makes just his fourth start on turf but form figures are lackluster at best. Drop back in trip should suit but very hard to make a solid case out for him recent evidence.

Forecasts

Our Lord (2/1), Field of Vision (10/3), Seamster (5/1), Gold Hunter (11/2), Showmethewayavrilo (8/1), Silverrica (9/1), Kyllukey (22/1), Sandacres (80/1)

Verdict

A modest race which could be well with the compass of the hat-trick seeking OUR LORD, who is taken to have a little more to offer over a C&D that suits him ideally. Cut in the ground also suits and a bold effort can be expected. Silverrica has won the last two renewals and is well handicapped in comparison. She has to be feared , while Seamster is holding his form well but the veteran has his own ideas about the game and there are risks attached in giving him the benefit of the doubt for a win only punt. Gold Hunter is also in good form and is another to bear in mind.
  1. Our Lord
  2. Silverrica
  3. Seamster
