Has won three times already this season, only 2lb higher than when gaining most recent of those at Doncaster last month over this trip but may not want soft ground.
Recent efforts have been very, very laboured. Did win over this C&D (good to firm) in April off this rating but probably wants a sounder surface than seems likely here.
Remains 7lb higher in the ratings than when making winning start for this yard over C&D at this meeting a year ago. Remote third at Redcar over longer trip nine days ago, first-time hood added now and not ruled out back here.
Eight-race maiden was last of eight runners over 1m2f at Haydock (good to soft) 11 days ago, needs to produce new levels of form to take this prize.
Experienced performer has a couple of win at this level to his name, well beaten over C&D in June and only limited promise shown in four runs since, 4lb lower for return to this venue.
Winner over this trip on Wolverhampton AW in May, is only 3lb higher now and capable of going well on turf but, like a few of these, would prefer a sounder surface.
Filly has made the frame only once in 11 career starts and there has been nothing in three runs for this yard over this sort of trip to warrant recommending a change in her fortunes.
Beaten 7L over C&D (good to firm) last month and record on turf now stands at 0-12. Better since on Newcastle's Tapeta surface but seems best suited in that sphere.
Filly appears to be regressing, she was beaten to the tune of 11¾L over C&D on good to soft already this month and, on all known form, it is hard to see a turnaround occurring.

Quite a few of the likely principles would prefer a sounder surface than seems likely, ensuring that waters are muddied somewhat. Percys Princess has won three times this term, Melabi won off this rating over C&D in April and Infiniti is weighted to go well – but underfoot conditions are not going to be perfect for any of them. It may develop into a battle of wills and a chance is given to CALLIOPE, who won over C&D at this meeting last year and sports a first-time hood now having made the frame, albeit remotely, last time at Redcar.
