Still fairly lightly-raced, left previous efforts behind when dotting up over 1m2f at Ayr last week, any amount in hand seemingly. Carries a 6lb penalty for that success.

Been round the houses in terms of trainer, not the most reliable sort but went close over this trip last month at Doncaster and 1lb lower in the ratings now if able to put things together.

An 18-race maiden bringing a string of poor runs into this, was tailed off over a mile at Pontefract earlier this month and confidence is very limited.

Tends to be do best at Pontefract but was runner-up over this C&D on penultimate outing in Class 5 event. Since filled the same berth at favoured track and must be given a chance on form.

12-race maiden who has a hit and miss profile. Hard to forgive recent runs at Pontefract and Musselburgh over this trip and others look more persuasive here.

Improved for a change of stables, first-time hood and a longer trip last week. Only needs to run to a similar level now down a furlong to have sound claims in this field.

Lightly-raced filly produced a much-improved effort on recent handicap bow at Beverley (1m2f, good to soft) and bears real consideration for this off 1lb higher mark sporting first-time tongue tie.

Losing run dates all the way back to 2015, very little in terms of positives lately and this trip is a venture into the unknown, best watched unless the money arrives.

Forecasts

Sepal (1/1), Clenymistra (9/4), Luv U Whatever (5/1), Correggio (6/1), In Focus (7/1), Decima (12/1), Steccando (18/1), Arithmetic (22/1), Ivors Involvement (33/1)

Verdict

Clenymistra is on excellent terms with herself and duly scored here last time, she looks set for another good showing, despite the penalty. Luv U Whatever is not the most trustworthy but could get involved if replicating last month's Doncaster effort while Decima is much-respected upped in trip after an excellent show on handicap bow at Beverley recently. Correggio is running well and fancied to be in the mix but SEPAL earns the nod having seemingly scored with any amount in hand last time at Ayr, she can defy the handicapper if building on that breakthrough.
  1. Sepal
  2. Decima
  3. Correggio
