Scored over C&D in May on reappearance, form since is rather in and out and remains 4lb higher in the ratings. Needs his best.
Doesn't win too often (4/44 on turf) but ran a cracker here last month over 6f when up with the pace and battling on gamely once headed. Up 2lb for that but chance if repeating.
Disappointing since finishing third off a 6lb higher mark over 5f at Redcar (good to firm) in May. Visor worn for the first time last time out is dispensed with here and others make more appeal in this.
Lightly-raced sort, looked to have taken a step forward with close second on AW at Chelmsford last month, much too keen at Musselburgh since and rather forfeited any chance. Interesting off this mark.
Cheekpieces fitted last time at Ayr over this trip brought much-improved effort. Is 2lb lower here and could figure if finding a bit more with retained headgear.
Very lightly-raced sort who has only had two previous starts and showed much improved form back from a long break and down in trip on better ground when winning a Windsor maiden last time. Handicap debut now.
Looks to have found life tough off this mark though since winning off 73 at Wolverhampton in April and may just need easing a few pounds before he's of interest again.
Has been regressing with each run since solid second over 6f at Redcar on seasonal bow in April and hard to be confident on chance now.
Won over this trip at Redcar in October off mark of 70, sole turf success to date. Efforts on grass this summer have not been inspiring.
Now a ten-year-old but continues to thrive and has been in cracking form this summer, denied by slender margin at Brighton this month and just 1lb higher now so Indian Summer may continue.
Maiden winner here last year but handicapper has taken no chances with his mark and he's finished well beaten on a trio of subsequent starts. May be in need of this run after an absence.
Without a win in ten runs since May 2016, ran best race for some time over 5f at Ripon in June (good) but back to the drawing board in two outings since.
Eight-year-old has shown tentative signs of a revival lately, now being on a 16-race losing sequence. Has plummeted down the weights and if first-time cheekpieces can bring improvement, weighted to have solid claims. Draw a negative.
All turf wins have come at Catterick so far, lacklustre in two previous visits to this venue. Running some decent races lately, could take away place money.
Handed a very stiff mark as a juvenile but did manage to get off the mark before leaving her previous yard. Recent debut for this trainer left the impression the handicapper is back in charge and she now looks vulnerable to something on the upgrade.
A nearly-horse recently, going close in three of four most recent runs over this trip. Still attractively weighted and ideal to draw if proving up to the task.
Still quite lightly-raced and starting to threaten now for Charlie Appleby, close third over 6f at Newmarket three days ago and interesting now dropped to 5f.
Runner-up twice here lately over 5f/6f. The drop back in trip looks right on evidence of previous run and entitled to say at the business end if holding that recent form.
Sparked back to life over C&D in June when making all to win Class 6 contest. Not disgraced off this mark last time in a better grade (travelled well), needs a bit more to land this seemingly.
Forecasts
African Friend (3/1), Interlink (6/1), Bogart (15/2), B Fifty Two (10/1), Landing Night (12/1), Olivia Fallow (14/1), Fruit Salad (14/1), Elysian Flyer (16/1), Alsvinder (18/1), Eternalist (18/1), Grandad's World (20/1), Point Of Woods (20/1), Flash City (20/1), Invincible Ridge (25/1), Pea Shooter (25/1), Memories Galore (33/1), Bronze Beau (33/1), L C Saloon (33/1), Mysterious Glance (66/1)
A wide open sprint, luck in running will be required. Bogart showed a pleasing attitude here over 6f last time and rates a player down in trip while the veteran Bronze Beau is enjoying life and could run another big race. Interlink is starting to make an impression for this trainer and along with Point Of Woods is worth a second glance. B Fifty Two makes some appeal on the weights though is badly drawn while handicap debutant African Friend is to be noted but ALSVINDER is given another chance. He was much too keen at Musselburgh last time and spoilt his chance, down in grade now, he can play a leading role for the in-form Danny Tudhope.
- Alsvinder
- Bogart
- Interlink
