Receives a marked drop in class here having been outclassed in a Listed race at Ascot last time. Has still come up short in similar handicaps to this in the past and is probably playing for third place at best.

Played only a small part on British/stable debut at Newmarket last time. Drops in trip here and should prefer this ground, but difficult to know how seriously her Italian form can be taken.

Would be right there in this based on her best form but didn't impress at Newmarket earlier in the week and her form on the whole seems to have leveled off.

Seeks a four-timer having taken her form to a new level so far this year. Up another 9lb from a victory at Yarmouth last time but won more convincingly than the winning margin suggests there and cannot be ruled out.

Hat-trick seeker who has won on soft ground the last twice but seems just as effective on a sounder surface. Up 6lb but remains unexposed and could easily be good enough to get her head in front again here.

Forecasts

Harba (6/4), Peach Melba (2/1), Rebel Surge (9/2), Bint Dandy (13/2), Sunchisetagioo (20/1)

Verdict

This should be between HARBA and Peach Melba, both of whom have been in fantastic form so far this season. The first-named shades preference as she won more convincingly than the official distance suggests at Yarmouth last time out, and though that hasn't escaped the notice of the handicapper means she could have much more to offer given the progression she has shown so far this year. Mark Johnston's filly also has potential to improve though, and seems to go on any kind of ground. These two are expected to be clear of the third, who may be Rebel Surge now dropping in class from Listed company.
  1. Harba
  2. Peach Melba
  3. Rebel Surge
