Put in a fair effort when beaten 7L when finishing third on debut at Wolverhampton last week. Likely needs to step up on that if he's to take this contest.

Forecasts

Viscount Loftus (6/4), Ginbar (2/1), Awsaaf (4/1), Loulin (12/1), Showmethedough (16/1), Feebs (40/1), Magic Ship (50/1)

Verdict

GINBAR who has finished runner-up on each of his two starts to date can get off the mark at the third time of asking in this opening two-year-old contest. The selection was slightly disappointing as odds-on favourite last time out but can see off his rivals here with Awsaf, an AW winner on debut taken to finish best of the remainder while Viscount Loftus, highly tried at Royal Ascot last time the selection to claim third.
  1. Ginbar
  2. Awsaaf
  3. Viscount Loftus
