Zoffany colt cost €75,000 as a foal, represents the Oxx yard on debut but stable form not that impressive now and just 2/18 with 2yos over previous 12 months.

Camelot colt has an appealing pedigree and should have plenty to offer, one of four for Ballydoyle, not top choice on jockey bookings apparently.

Galileo colt cost his connections €200,000 as a yearling, an interesting newcomer from the Halford setup and has plenty going for him on paper.

A son of the great Frankel, he cost 1,300,000 gns as a yearling and is sure to draw plenty of attention on debut. One of four for Ballydoyle, bypassed by Moore seemingly, whatever can be read into that.

War Front colt is related to some smart winners, one of four for the O'Brien team here, he gets Ryan Moore on board and holds a Dewhurst entry.

Harbour Watch colt was acquired for €33,000 as a yearling, second runner for the Oxx team here and looks more likely of the two on paper.

Last of the Ballydoyle quartet in this line-up and the second son of Frankel, cost €750,000 as a yearling and in anyone else's hands would be a headline-making entry. Betting check required.

Masterofthehorse filly appears to be up against it amongst some potentially high-class recruits here, yard had just a solitary 2yo runner over previous 12 months.

Declaration of War filly should have plenty ability in time but she's wandering into some deep water on debut here and looks best watched for now.

Forecasts

Verdict

A field of 16 newcomers line-up here and so the betting market will be as informative as anything. This would be an interesting heat if it involved only the four Ballydoyle runners, given their pedigree and the expense at which they've been acquired. There are exciting sons of Frankel in Spanish Point and Zabriskie, both of which must be respected, but it has got to be noted that Ryan Moore instead opts to partner THREEANDFOURPENCE, a son of War Front that holds a Group 1 entry in the Dewhurst. He looks the one to side with on jockey bookings but, as ever, tread carefully with the O'Brien newcomers. Of the remainder, Hazapour, closely related to Harzand, could run very well with the Weld team now in peak health while the final Ballydoyle contender Hunting Horn is no slouch on paper either and Ger Lyons' Gobi Desert is one to look out for.
  1. Threeandfourpence
  2. Spanish Point
  3. Hazapour
