Smart handicapper who has been lightly raced since winning three handicaps in 2015. Progression has slightly stalled since then off higher marks and now makes his return off a break having run in an Australian Group 2 last time.
Capable of some very smart form in his younger days (won in Listed and Group 3 company) but hasn't won since taking a 2m Listed race in 2015. Made his belated handicap debut recently although this mark looks a tough one given his recent exploits.
Returns after a long absence having shown he was suited by this trip when winning at Ascot in August. Followed up with two very creditable runs off increased marks although a perch of 97 here leaves him with work to do.
In fine form on the AW at the start of the year over similar trips off marks of 85/91 but since he's returned to turf the handicapper has looked in control. His last two runs have left very little impression and he has plenty to prove here.
Certainly improved in form terms when scoring his second win at Haydock making all as for all her wins. Excelled himself in a Group 3 here and failed to handle the deep going at Goodwood last time but his previous run gives him a real chance here.

A real conundrum presents itself here as a betting puzzle and it’s hard to totally write off any of the field. Sofia’s Rock the sole three-year-old in the race will appreciate the better ground and on his third here on his penultimate he has a good chance especially as his yard won this last year. Eye of The Storm and Second Wave look to have tough enough tasks off their marks while Goldmember makes his handicap debut (belatedly) and that may suit him more than his tasks in a higher grade. AMAZING RED therefore becomes the suggestion here as he bids to follow-up his handicap win and progress again off just a 4lb higher mark.
