Hold up performer who won on return at Nottingham first time out this year. Good third at Ascot last time out but better on faster ground than what he's likely to get here.

33/1
Four time winner on the Flat when trained in Europe and won over hurdles for this yard in 2015. Interrupted career in recent times and refused to settle when last seen in a Flat race at Lingfield. Another absence to overcome and looks opposable.

Won a maiden at Ripon last year but that's his only win in 23 starts (six of those over hurdles). Assessor refusing to relent to any great extent in recent times and others look better handicapped.

Has been in good form this season and can be forgiven his latest run when going off too hard. Likely to still be in form and should give another good account with a better judged ride.

Just one win in 18 starts, coming in a Ffos Las maiden on heavy ground in 2015. Losing run mounting up now and he doesn't look a straightforward sort but may improve with De Sousa riding for the first time.

9/4
Winner on handicap debut at Bath last time out and less exposed than most in here. 6lb rise for that effort perhaps a little harsh given the manner of the victory but may improve and any market support would likely be significant.

Off the mark in an AW maiden at Newcastle earlier in the year but he's been a little hit and miss since. Best efforts have come on faster ground than what he'll get here and disappointing in softer conditions last time at Goodwood when slowly away.

Off the mark at the fourth attempt when landing an AW maiden at the start of the year and gained his second success last time over C&D. May struggle from back up the handicap and hasn't looked as effective on slower ground.

Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: David Probert| T: P Hide| OR:  78| D
15/2
Won two from seven starts and impressive when winning at Doncaster last month. 7lb rise for that effort not excessive and should run well now he's found his form.

Forecasts

Nathan (9/4), Doctor Bartolo (4/1), Mikmak (7/1), Ray's The Money (7/1), Lightly Squeeze (15/2), Fast And Hot (10/1), Reaver (10/1), Warp Factor (16/1), See The Rock (33/1)

Verdict

FAST AND HOT is in good form and he's worth giving another chance to after he wasn't seen to best effect at Windsor last time out. Lightly Squeeze was impressive last time out and looks the main danger from a workable mark while Mikmak may do better with Silvestre De Sousa booked to ride.
