Won this in 2015 under this jockey and finished runner-up in the Irish St Leger that year. Suffered an interrupted career since though with just two starts and well beaten at Doha last time out in a Listed race. Entitled to need this run.
Two from two last year but he was a shade disappointing here on his reappearance before giving the impression something was amiss on soft ground at York last time. Questions to answer right now as first-time blinkers are reached for.
Excellent effort behind Highland Reel at Epsom and respectable smart effort behind Hawkbill in a Group 2 at Newmarket last time. NR at Goodwood last time when ground was soft and never won without firm in the going description but sets the standard.
Improved to win a Listed race at Downpatrick last time out but needs another big step forward to land this contest. Proven over this trip and in this sort of ground no so not without an each-way chance.
Won three times last year, including a valuable handicap at York but has struggled upped in class this time around and well beaten at Belmont last time out. Been given a mini-break to freshen him up but may want a drop in class before he wins again.
Not won since her maiden win but has been keeping some good company since and placed in both English and Irish Oaks last year. Bit disappointing at Goodwood last time though and has a bit to prove after that effort.
Returned with a win in Listed company at Newmarket earlier in the month when racing alone under an inspired James Doyle ride. Will find this tougher but she's still unexposed and could run well in conditions she enjoys.
Arrives here after completing his hat-trick at Hamilton last time out. Clearly progressive and appreciates some dig in the ground so should run well but yard have gone a little quiet in recent weeks by their own high standards.

Defoe (13/8), Frontiersman (15/8), To Eternity (9/2), Horseplay (12/1), Wall of Fire (14/1), Agent Murphy (16/1), The Tartan Spartan (16/1), Crimean Tatar (25/1), Harlequeen (25/1)
FRONTIERSMAN looks the one to side with having proven himself above this level already this season. Defoe is clearly still on the upgrade and will enjoy conditions while Harlequeen may resume progress after a disappointing run last time out.
