Foaled February 26. Son of Showcasing. He is a half-brother to a useful winner up to 1m in Fire Brigade. Dam was a winner over 6f. Wears a tongue strap on debut, watch for any significant market support.

Made the running on his debut over 6f at Newbury last month and ran well for a long way, eventually fading away, beaten just over 6L. Shaped like a surefire future winner when third at Beverley over 5f last time and he will have plenty of followers.

Equiano colt represents powerful connections and the stable is in fine form. Dam an unraced half-sister to winner up to 9f Cityscape and high-class winning sprinter Bated Breath. Likely to be well forward for his debut run.

Friendless in the market for a couple of races to date at Ascot and Sandown, appreciating the soft ground last time when stepping up markedly on her debut run. Certainly has the ability to win races and could go well tonight.

Progressive-looking sprinter ran really well on her penultimate run when beaten a head by May Girl over 5f at Sandown on soft going . On the strength of that she was a warm order for a similar race there next time on heavy ground but disappointed.

March foal by Foxwedge. Her dam was a winner over both 5f and 6f and was out of useful winner Lacinia, who had winning form between 6f and 1m3f. Watch the market as she makes her debut in a decent looking contest.

Shaped well when friendless in the market on her debut over 5f at Nottingham last month and duly stepped up on that effort over an extended 5f here last time when beaten a neck by Helvetian. One for any short-list and a big run is expected.

Forecasts

Verdict

Choosey has shown a degree of promise in her two outings so far and she is entitled to plenty of respect this evening. Equillateral may well be the pick of the newcomers but the market will provide an invaluable guide in respect of the chances of the unraced runners. Fab was unlucky to bump into Queen Mary winner Heartache on her debut and although a beaten favourite in both subsequent starts, she is a winner waiting to happen. SWING OUT SISTER went down in many notebooks after a promising first run and she was just touched off here over the extended 5f last time. With further improvement to come, she can make it third time lucky.
  1. Swing Out Sister
  2. Fab
  3. Choosey
