Has come good of late in a couple of 5f handicaps with the last of them coming over C&D off a mark of 59 having run the previous day at Carlisle. Probably found quicker conditions and the 6f trip when failing to run up to his Catterick win and appreciate the likely softer ground here.
The drop into this grade (0-60) proved to be the catalyst for her best run of the year at Beverley last time out and it must be remembered that her last win came in a much better grade at Doncaster in a 0-80. Only just touched off by an improving sort who will now be campaigned in higher grade and if she reproduces her last run here she has a fine chance off this mark.
Took an age to break his maiden but did so over C&D in May off an 11lb lower mark in 0-55 grade. A slow start saw him fail to follow-up that run immediately before he bounced back to form at Hamilton on his penultimate start in slightly higher grade. A mark that had pushed over the 60 mark appeared to find him out last time though and others are preferred here.
Drop in the handicap appeared to suit her when winning a small field handicap at Hamilton in May over 5f. Has run well in her last couple of race (bumped into improving sorts on both occasions) and should able to take a hand here off a mark of 58.
Not the most reliable or trustworthy of individuals although he did manage to win twice earlier in the season over 5f at Newcastle. Form has looked only ordinary of late including at Beverley yesterday and other are preferred here.
Certainly knows his way around here with two C&D wins to his name plus another win over 6f which was his most recent success. Hasn't really performed to the same level since that win and seems in a quiet period at the moment.
Out-and-out front runner who blasted off in front here on her penultimate start just being touched off close home of a lowly mark of 46. She was turned out again quickly and ran in similar fashion at Ayr again over 5f although not able to dominate as easily this time around and should be able to dominate here but faces some strong finishing types here.
Has won over C&D (his last win) but that came off a mark of 48 and he's looked bang out of form of late and that trend looks set to continue here.
Still seeking his first win and showed his first form last time out but it did come off a basement mark in a poor race. He would need to build on that and significantly to take a hand here.
Forecasts
Lady Joanna Vassa (11/4), Nuala Tagula (9/2), Perfect Words (5/1), Sarabi (6/1), Kodimoor (13/2), Windforpower (8/1), Sir Geoffrey (16/1), Very First Blade (20/1), Mr Enthusiastic (40/1)
With Lady Joanna Vassa and Kodimoor in the field this should be run at a good pace and while both those two should run their races it won’t be a surprise to see something to come from off the pace and pick them up. Nuala Tagula comes from a yard in good form and might find this a little easier than her last two races where she has bumped into a couple of improving winners. Perfect Words won this race in 2014 off a 4lb lower mark but may find life a bit tougher here and it could well be that SARABI can complete her renaissance after her last run and dropping a fair way in the grades.
- Sarabi
- Nuala Tagula
- Lady Joanna Vassa
