Fourth in a decent handicap at Goodwood last time out reads well and still reatins plenty of ability. Down in trip and doesn't stand much racing, so a amrket move would be interesting.

Should be fitter after a couple of recent spins over hurdles but did win at Haydock when last tried in this sphere almost a year ago, Work to do from a 5lb higher mark but never tried over this trip on the Flat when with his former trainer; still worthy of consideration if the betting positivley highlights his chances though.

Won over C&D last summer but stuggled on the Flat under revised marks afterwards. recent form over hurldes confirms he retains his enthusiasm, hwoever, and no forlorn hope returing to this type of event. Acts with cut in the ground but wouldn't want too much rain.

Hurdles form is solid and proved his capabilities when second to a decent individual at Catterick last month - winner of that race was far from disgraced when upped in class recently. Not much to find to be in the thick of the action and one for the shortlist here.

No chance of winning at Royal Ascot last time but still ran with plenty of credit. This is a much more realistic target and this previous four-time course winner has a lot going for him despite being 7lb higher than his last winning mark. Has a 50% strike rate at this track and should make a bold bid to expand on the stats today.

Campaigned mainly over hurdles this year, he holds ability but has abit to find with Arty Cambell on recent form on the Flat. Others more convincing.

Hurdles form is fair but been a while since he won on the Flat and the balance of form suggests he has a good bit to prove from his current mark.

Disappointed when favourite over 1m6f at Lingfield latest, but will be suited by the extra distance this afternoon. Bit to prove from 10lb higher than his C&D success in May and possible he will have to settle for a minor role again here.

Forecasts

Project Bluebook (2/1), Taws (10/3), Medburn Cutler (5/1), Sir Pass I Am (6/1), All For The Best (7/1), Sleep Easy (16/1), Norab (20/1), Arty Campbell (25/1)

Verdict

On hurdles form PROJECT BLUEBOOK would take plenty of beating if he runs his usual race. Equally effective in this sphere, the gelding gets the benefit of the doubt and is selected in prefence to to Medburn Cutler and Arty Campbell, who are feared the most. Sir Pass I Am may raise his game now he is back at Chepstow and would interesting to fill one of the places if they all stand their ground.

  2. Medburn Cutler
  3. Arty Campbell
